As we continue to penetrate and find success in the marketplace, we are in search of a creative individual who is adept at content writing, has a solid working knowledge of B2B marketing principles and can manage customer relationship software and activities.  They must be a self-starter who is willing to run with ideas with minimal guidance.  The position is ideal for the marketing professional who craves having full ownership of projects from inception to conclusion. 


This is a new position for our company and the right candidate will have the opportunity to mold and shape the role as needed to help plan and execute a marketing strategy that will build brand recognition, inspire sticky customer relationships, create new marketing campaigns and manage all published company content.  Being a Department of One, this is a hands-on role that will complete the day to day tasks of updating website content, creating and analyzing email campaigns and maintaining CRM software.


And we are FLEXIBLE!  We are open to candidates looking to work anywhere from 30 hours up to 40 hours per week.


Marketing Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute a content strategy (with a detailed calendar) of engaging and relevant content for our customers and prospects
  • Oversee the company’s marketing database (CRM): list development and management, segmentation, acquisition/import, data cleansing, content and contact strategy, lead management.
  • Lead the initiation, design and delivery of creative materials such as sales and product collateral, website landing pages, print and digital advertising, presentations, branded promotional items and more. Ensure brand consistency through tone, voice and terminology.
  • Work with external agencies and vendors as needed to execute marketing programs.
  • Create and manage blast emails and automated email programs. Monitor, track, and document campaign results; analyze data/returns/customer response
  • Maintain Simmons’ website including writing web content, utilizing SEO to ensure the site ranks highly among organic search results
  • Utilize Google analytics, CRM & other relevant tools to provide analysis and timely reports on website usage. Study the trends of current website users, evaluate the success of design assumptions and make recommendations about improvement. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to support lead generation and business development.
  • Occasionally update Simmons’ social media channels and support with social campaigns.
  • Manage Pre and Post trade show marketing activity
  • Collaborate with the Simmons sales, customer service, engineering and production support teams to understand creative needs and technical audience messaging.
  • Cultivate and integrate new ideas and campaigns that align with current and future sales goals


Marketing Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing in the B2B space
  • Experience with building and executing content strategy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional compositional and grammatical skills
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Solid knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems (e.g. GoldMine, ACT, Salesforce)
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Solid knowledge and experience with technologies and best practices for web design, web production, and creative design across multiple platforms
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter with a willingness to work independently
